H2O Getaways is a small business owned by a husband and wife team Jen Cook & John Lott who combined their passion for entertaining, transforming spaces, and boating, by re-designing houseboat rentals into a boutique experience. (And Herb, their 8 year old Saint Bernese, resident "Empathy Service Provider and Court Jester")

On the other end of the Waterway from the houseboats we also rent at Horseshoe Bay near Peterborough, these boutique houseboat rentals begin at Lock 1 in Trenton.

There are 4 houseboats in the fleet, two 40' houseboats Mr Falls and Ms Myers (coming soon), and two 44' houseboats Mr Healey and Bata Girl

Each boat sleeps 6 (4 adults and 2 kids maximum) with one private bedroom with a Queen size bed, a dinette that converts to a Queen bed, and a loft with a Queen mattress (loft is accessed by a ship ladder.) The forward banquette can be used as a single bed. 

There are several built in lounge areas throughout the boat, including a sun pad on the top deck and an outdoor patio area, as well as the dinette and a breakfast bar inside.

Each of these houseboats come with all of the basics, as well as several unique amenities including:

• Bluetooth wireless speaker to take your music wherever you go
• Solar panels that charge batteries for lights, USB ports, 12 volt sockets and onboard electronics
• Biodegradable shampoo, conditioner, soap, dish soap, and cleaning products
• Small fans in each sleeping cabin
• High quality bedding
• High quality pots, pans, cutlery, and knives
• Bow and stern thrusters, allowing greater control in moving the boat from side to side

Good to know: You'll need to have a Boat Operator's Card/Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) that you can obtain online at: Canada Boat Safety

It's suggested that all guests driving the boat have their PCOC; at least two people on board so drivers can take turns at the wheel.
