Lake Powell - Weather & Temperatures
Lake Powell can be visited in any season. Summers are of course most popular as water temperatures reach into the mid 70's. Mornings are generally clear and calm, while afternoons often see winds kick up for short periods and sometimes rain. It's generally hot, but you're on the water. Though there are often heavy winds, the spring spawning makes for the best fishing of the year. Fall is almost always clear and bright. Boaters (mostly fishermen) use the lake in winter, which does not freeze except at its northernmost point. Average monthly air and water temperatures are set forth below.
