Wildlife viewing at Lake Mohave
The Lake Mead National Recreation Area is home to bats, desert bighorn Sheep, mule deer, coyotes, bobcats, and more. Also a variety of lizards and snakes including gila monsters and the rattlesnakes. Bird species include the American Coot, Yellow Headed Blackbird, Mallard, Great Horned Owl, hummingbirds and many more. The desert tortoise also can be found here though they are an endangered species.
