Hiking at Lake Mead
Historic Railroad Tunnel Trail: Trailhead is across the road from the Alan Bible Visitor Center, just northeast of Boulder, Nevada. It is 4.5 miles round trip along a derelict railway. The railway goes through four tunnels and has a fifth that is impenetrable. The trail comes to an end at the shores of Lake Mead.
Redstone Dune Trail: Short and scenic trail of .5 miles round trip from the Redstone Picnic Area, at the 27 mile marker on Northshore Road.
Wetlands Trail: A 1-mile loop trail that takes you down a wash to a desert creek. The trailhead is 1.2 miles further down Northshore Road after it intersects with Lakeshore Road.
